It was a narrow escape for 30-year-old Rithi Singh, who lost control over her car and plunged into the dry patch of Bellandur Lake on Friday. Fortunately, Ms. Singh, who was on her way to work, sustained only minor injuries though the car was damaged. She has been admitted to a private hospital. According to the police, Ms. Singh crossed Bellandur bridge and while negotiating a curve, lost control and landed on the dry patch. “That part of the lake does not have a fence. Else, the accident could have been fatal,” a senior police official said.
The HSR Layout traffic police rushed to the spot and pulled out the car with the help of crane and cleared the traffic jam caused due to the accident.
