Mysuru gets new Police Commissioner

In a surprise move, Bengaluru Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) B. Dayananda was on Saturday posted as Mysuru Police Commissioner, replacing M.A. Saleem, who will take up the post vacated by the former. Mr. Dayananda will be the 17th Police Commissioner for Mysuru. Mr. Saleem is among the eight officers who were transferred on Saturday.

DIGP(CID) Soumendu Mukherjee has been posted as Director, Security and Vigilance, KSRTC, while Superintendent of Police (Internal Security Division) B.A. Mahesh has been posted as Director (Security, Vigilance and Environment), Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Bengaluru. Superintendent of Police Raichur district M.N. Nagaraj will replace Dr. Mahesh. Superintendent of Police of Ballari district Chetan Singh Rathor has been transferred as Superintendent of Police of Raichur and Superintendent of Police of Chikkamagaluru R. Chetan has been transferred to Ballari. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, Mangaluru, K. Santosh Babu has been transferred as Superintendent of Police of Chikkamagaluru. Meanwhile, Principal Secretary, Housing, Sanjiv Kumar has been posted as Principal Secretary, RDPR.
