Bengaluru police managed to nab Mahesh (41) from his relative’s house in K. Narayanapura on Wednesday.
Police officials have also recovered the country-made weapon that was used to commit the murder.
Mahesh murdered 17-year-old Gauthami on Tuesday night after she allegedly spurned his proposal. She was a PU student at the Pragati Residential School in the outskirts of Bengaluru. Her roommate Shirisha was injured by the school attender.
