MSMEs get a platform to connect with global community

The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), in association with CeBIT India and ITE.biz has brought 127 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from 19 States, from nine STPI jurisdictions, to the first edition of CeBIT India 2014 trade show. The aim is to give the Indian MSMEs an opportunity to get connected with the global community.

Apart from the software sector, the government body in its ‘Made in India’ pavilion is also showcasing IT, ITES, electronic system design and manufacturing industry (ESDM) from States such as Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

Omkar Rai, Director-General, STPI, said, “Events like CeBIT are essential for the MSME sector to showcase their unique strengths to an international audience and to encourage creation of indigenous products. They will eventually create opportunities for the start-ups to get patronisation from foreign investors.”
