A rowdy and his associates stabbed a mobile shop owner and ransacked his shop after the shop owner’s friend objected to them doing stunts on a bike in front of the shop at Vinayaka Nagar in Hebbagodi on Friday.

The victim, Vikas Mishra, sustained multiple injuries and has been hospitalised.

According to the police, the main suspect is Manju, a rowdy-sheeter.

A heated argument between Manju and his associates on one side and the shop-owner and his friend on the other ended only when passers-by intervened.

However, Manju and his friends returned later, armed with lethal weapons. They ransacked the shop, stole goods and attacked Mishra.

Neighbours rushed to his help and admitted him to a private hospital before alerting the police.

The Hebbagodi police have taken up a case of attempt to murder, robbery and several other charges against Manju and his associates.
