City police have arrested 30-year-old MBA graduate on charges of raiding a company posing as senior police officer. He along with his associate stole valuables from the office.
After failing to secure a job, Irfan Pasha, a resident of BTM Layout, decided to impersonate a police officer. According to police, the accused got police uniform, a fake ID and even procured a holster. He along with his assistant, Arbaaz Khan, went to a private firm in Koramangala 7th block on Monday night and threaten the security guard to gain access to the office. Pretending to inspect the place, he made away with five smart phones and an iPad worth ₹ 3 lakh.
Based on the complaint, the Koramangala police arrested Irfan and Arbaz and recovered a fake ID identifying him as the Additional Commissioner Security, Department of Personal and Administrative Reforms, Vidhana Soudha.
The police are investigating whether Irfan had been involved in similar offences earlier.
