The Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) activists have demanded stringent measures to stop release of industrial effluents into tanks in Narasapur.

A delegation, led by KRRS state vice president K. Narayana Gowda, noticed the tank at Narasapur Industrial Area being polluted because of industrial effluents.

Industrial units were harming the tank water and environment, Mr. Gowda alleged and added that the polluted water is likely to have adverse affect on cattle and people. The outfit urged the authorities concerned to warn the industrial units against releasing harmful pollutants into the tank.
