With several private schools being in dock for running classes illegally, a school in Koramangala has come under scrutiny for running classes illegally.

Anxious parents had gathered outside a Narayana E-Techno School in Koramangala on Thursday as soon as news spread that some classes of the school were being run illegally.

A police complaint in this regard was filed by a parent on Wednesday evening. Many parents were worried about the future of their children’s education with irregularities coming to light.

Munireddy, Block education officer, under whose jurisdiction the school falls, said that the school had permission for classes one and five in Kannada medium and had registered for pre-primary classes. “But the school is running classes till ten. We have served a notice to the school,” he said.

Members of the school management and staff met a group of parents on Thursday.

The school however remained closed on Thursday after it communicated via SMS to the parents that it will remain closed on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
