Kerala girls fare well at National Shooting Championship in Belagavi

Girls from Kendriya Vidyalaya in Thrissur, Kerala, won the first and second prizes in the National Shooting Championship for Under-17 girls from central schools organised by the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Belagavi. The 10-metre open sight air rifle competition was held at the shooting range of the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental centre in Belagavi.

Angel Rose stood first and Aleena Anto got the second prize. K. Priyadarshini from Coimbatore got the third prize.

Sujal Sankhala from Belagavi KV-2 won the first prize in the 10-metre peep sight air rifle event for Under-17 girls. Priyanka Janwal of Delhi Cantt stood second and Sonu Ray of Salt Lake, Kolkata, won the third prize.

Varidhi Gore of CME Pune won the first prize in 10 metre pistol shooting and Lavanya Singh from Gurugram and Sai Sambhrama from Malleshwara KV won the second and third prizes.

In the 10 metre open sight air rifle event for Under-19 girls, Preetender Kaur from Patiyala won the first prize. Subhetchav from Coimbattore stood second and Vani Chandrika from Dhamtary won the third prize.

In the 10 metre peep sight air rifle event for Under-19 girls, Chandrima Nain from Chandigard won the first prize, Arshdeep Kaur from Fathegarh second and Prema Lakkappa from Belagavi KV-2 won the third prize.

Sakshi Mallik of AFS Delhi won the first prize in the 10 metre pistol event. A S Shalini from Anna Nagar stood second and Akanksha Mishra from Sikhar got the third prize.
