Kashappanavar’s advance bail plea rejected

The Sessions Court on Thursday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Hunugund MLA Vijayanand Kashappanavar and his aide Somshekhar Gowda, a history-sheeter, who have been charged with assaulting two constables of Cubbon Park police station at a bar recently.

Sources say the court rejected the bail plea as there is no apprehension of immediate arrest as he had appeared before the Central Crime Branch (CCB). Somashekhar Gowda’s plea was rejected on the grounds that he is a history-sheeter and is absconding.
