Hotels, eateries to be open till 1 a.m. in Bangalore

City Police Commissioner Raghavendra Auradkar has issued orders allowing hotels and eateries to operate till 1 a.m.

Though a notification in the regard was issued on March 4, it said the orders will come into force from the date of its publication in the official gazette.

The order extending the deadline will be applicable to all places of public entertainment except bars and restaurants, clubs and hotels serving Indian Made Foreign Liquor who have obtained license from the Excise Department. These places will continue to operate as per the provisions of the Karnataka Excise Act, Rules and license conditions, the notification said.
