Train services on the Green Line — from Banashankari metro station to Yelachanahalli metro station — resumed on Sunday evening.
According to a communiqué from the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL), the track maintenance work was completed ahead of schedule. BMRCL had earlier stated that the services would resume on Monday from 5 a.m.
BMRCL spokesperson U.A. Vasanth Rao said that the maintenance staff worked overtime — whole of Saturday night and Sunday morning — to complete the work ahead of schedule.
“After testing, we resumed operations at 7 p.m. on Sunday,” he said.
