Four Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation buses were destroyed in a fire, which broke out at the sixth depot at Satellite Bus-Stand on Mysuru road on Thursday.
The Fire and Emergency Services control room received a call around 2 a.m. and four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to put out the blaze. Three buses were completely charred.
However, another fire broke out around 5.40 a.m. in which another bus was charred, a senior official said. No one was injured. The reason for the fire is yet to be ascertained, he said. “Though it was claimed that the mishap was due to a short circuit we suspect that it could be the act of mischief mongers. The fire officials have sought the help of Byatarayanapura police,” an official added.
