Four interstate smugglers arrested in Manchakalkuppe

Four interstate smugglers, including a degree student from Andhra Pradesh, were arrested by Kyatsandra police for smuggling red sanders near Manchakalkuppe on the outskirts of Tumakuru city on Tuesday.

The police gave the names of accused as Sheik Shavali (28), a driver who is from Anantapur town in AP, Nagi Reddy Srinivasulu Reddy(21), of Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, Kakarla Amir Bhasha (24) of Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh and J.Charan Kumar(24), degree student from Anantapur town.

The smugglers were illegally transporting red sanders worth of ₹1 lakh in a four-wheeler to Bengaluru. The red sanders and the four-wheeler have been seized by the police.

A case is registered in Kyatsandra police station.
