Farmer electrocuted

A 26-year-old farmer was electrocuted at Dangenahalli in Chikkanayakanahalli taluk of Tumakuru district on Monday night.

The police said that the deceased has been identified as Maruthi of Dangenahalli. He had gone to his field on Monday around 11.30 p.m. when he was electrocuted after coming into contact with an iron fence on which a live cable had fallen.

A case has been registered at Handanakere police station.
