The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday granted bail to the former councillor V. Nagaraj and his two sons, Gandhi N. and Shastry N., in connection with some of the criminal cases registered against them after the police seized ₹14.98 crore in demonetised currency from their house here.

Justice Rathnakala passed the order while allowing the petitions filed by the trio. She directed the accused to appear before the investigating officer every week, to cooperate in the investigation and furnish bonds for ₹ 2 lakh along with two sureties. Several cases have been registered against them in different police stations across the city.
