An 18-year-old girl, the daughter of a senior HAL officer, has been missing since Thursday. Sarbasree Saha left her house in HAL township leaving behind a note, which read, “I have done my best but can not achieve.” The note, addressed to her parents, added that she would return once she was successful.
The police believe the girl decided to leave after she failed to get a medical seat in a competitive exam held in Kolkata in July. Her father, Ratan Lal Saha, DGM at HAL, who has filed a missing complaint with the Byappanahalli police is now struggling to track her down. “Though she studies here and has lived in the city for a long time, she does not know the city very well,” Mr. Saha told The Hindu. “She even deleted all her Facebook posts. She did not take anything with her, not even her clothes.” Though the township has security personnel, they failed to notice her leaving. Mr. Saha is now requesting the staff at metro stations and other commercial establishments to go through their CCTV camera footage to look for his daughter.
The police said they were trying to trace the girl. “The girl has not carried her phone, which could have helped us to trace her,” a senior police officer said.
