The strike called by trade unions had no impact on functioning of the Karnataka High Court and other courts in Bangalore city on Wednesday.

The hearing of the cases are going on normally as scheduled as most advocates did not face any difficulty to reach courts on their own vehicles.

However, there is a slight decline in the attendance of court employees as a few of those depending on public transport could not reach the work place. But, it had no impact on hearing of the cases.

Also, presence of litigants in civil courts was less. In some cases, the courts adjourned hearing of the cases in which the presence of litigant is essential despite presence of their advocates.

HOSPITALS : Meanwhile, the functioning of Government hospitals too was reported to be almost normal on Wednesday.

Although all hospitals recorded nearly 30 per cent reduction in patient flow till around noon, doctors and existing nursing staff reported to work.

Sources said six normal deliveries were also conducted from Tuesday night till 9 am on Wednesday at Vani Vilas Government Hospital. "If the afternoon shift staff find it difficult to come, we will continue till evening," said a senior staff nurse.

The functioning of Victoria and Bowring hospitals too was reported to be normal. The situation was the same at K C General hospital too, according to a senior doctor.
