Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) Superintendent of Police B.S. Lokeshkumar has suspended District Armed Reserve Police head constable Manjunath on charges of extorting money from a sand transporter.
In a video clipping, which went viral on social media, Manjunath was seen demanding money from the driver of a tractor, transporting sand. The incident took place at Kotthur village on the outskirts of the town.
The SP initiated action against the cop on Saturday based on the video.
