Construction labourer dies after falling from building’s third floor

A 20-year-old construction labourer died after slipping and falling from the third floor of a building that was being constructed in Whitefield here on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Rakesh Vasu from Assam, was pulling down a trolley filled with construction material from the sixth floor. He slipped from the third floor and came crashing to the ground.

Vasu, who was profusely bleeding, rushed to Vydehi Hospital where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.

The Whitefield police have booked a case of death due to negligence against the owner of the construction company and the supervisor.
