Classical Language Study Centre to be shifted

Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor B. Thimme Gowda has agreed to provide land to shift the Kannada Classical Language Study Centre to the Jnana Bharati campus from Mysore.

Minister of State for Kannada and Culture Umashree had said that the centre would be shifted from Mysore to Bangalore and that Bangalore University has agreed to provide land for it, according to Prof. Thimme Gowda in a release. The Union Government has cleared the proposal of the State government on shifting the centre. Ms. Umashree and officials from the Department of Kannada and Culture also visited the university and held a meeting with the Vice-Chancellor in this connection, the release said.
