Church Street blast: one of the injured discharged

One of the three persons injured in the bomb blast on Church Street on Sunday was discharged from the hospital while two others, who underwent surgeries to remove shrapnel, would be discharged in a day or two.

Ajit Benedict Royan, vice-president of HOSMAT hospital said that Vinay M.R., an IT professional, was discharged while Sandeep H., who underwent surgery to remove shrapnel, may be discharged in two days. “He will need two weeks’ rest before resuming his routine activities,” he said.

Karthick, who had undergone surgery at Mallya Hospital for removal of a small metal fragment (around 2.5 cm) from his shoulder, is likely to be discharged in a day, said Kanchal Sanyal, Medical Superintendent of the hospital.
