Census helpline: majority of calls from enumerators

Majority of calls to the helpline launched to redress queries and complaints regarding the State-level Socio and Education Survey are from enumerators.

As on Tuesday, the call centre received 4,037 calls. Of this, 66 per cent callers were enumerators, 33 per cent were citizens and one per cent from supervisors and officers. According to a release, 97 per cent of the calls pertained to general queries, two per cent complaints and one per cent were related to feedback and advise regarding the census.

Majority of the calls were received from Bengaluru Urban district while the least number of calls came from Kodagu.
