CCB recovers four kg drugs; arrests three

Officials from the Narcotics wings of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) raided a lodge in Yeshwanthpura on Tuesday and arrested three persons. The CCB have also recovered four kilograms of charas worth Rs. 8 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Raghu (34), Kiran (29) and Hemanth (34), haling from Hassan district.

Police got a tip-off about three people trying to sell drugs from a room of Star Lodge in Yeshwanthpura. Based on the tip-off, the police raided the lodge and caught the trio red-handed with the drugs.

The police said that upon interrogation, the accused revealed that Raghu got the drugs from a person identified as Kondaraja, a native of Andhra Pradesh. Raghu had come to the city to sell the drugs.
