CCB raid house, arrest three bookies

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths on Wednesday raided a house and arrested three bookies for collecting bets from the punters for the ongoing World Cup Cricket 2015 tournament.

Based on a tip-off, a team of officials raided the house in Ittamadu in Channammanakere Acchukattu and arrested Prakash B.N. (38), Raghavendra (29) and Thukaram (45). The police have seized cash Rs 10.6 lakh and laptops and six mobiles phones from them.

The police are further investigating to probing whether the trio are part of the inter-state betting racket.
