Cab driver robs man at knife point

A cab driver robbed a 25-year-old private firm employee after offering to drop him on Thursday night. The incident to happened within the Rama Yard police station limits.

The victim, Raju, was waiting for the bus at Goraguntepalya to go to Tumakuru, his home town.

Around 11 p.m., a cab driver approached him and offered to drop him. Raju agreed and got into the cab.

After driving for a while, the cab driver stopped and demanded cash at knife point. Scared, Raju handed over the wallet containing ₹2,000 and other documents. The cab driver then left him on the road and sped away.

Raju managed to reach RMC Yard police and file a complaint.
