September 15, 2014 10:38 am | Updated 10:38 am IST - Bangalore:

A two-and-a-half-year-old boy drowned in a water tank at the Lalbagh nursery on Sunday.

Prajwal was the son of Ramesh and Sumithra, contract workers in the nursery, the Siddapura police said.

They were to return to their hometown Raichur on Sunday as the couple’s 10-month contract in the nursery ended on Saturday.

Prajwal was playing outside their shed with a water gun while his parents were busy packing.

The police suspect that Prajwal slipped into the tank when he went to refill his gun with water.

His parents rushed him to hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
