A 14-year-old boy was feared drowned in Chikkabanavara lake on Wednesday.
Chandrashekhar, a class 8th student, had gone along with his friends to swim after school hours. According to police, he did not know swimming. Yet he ventured into the lake and drowned. His friends raised an alarm and ran out to seek help, but by the time people came to help, he was drowned.
The Soladevanahalli police along with fire and emergency service personnel are searching for the body.
