BJP, Congress leaders meet to discuss nominations for BMPC elections

With elections to the Bangalore Metropolitan Planning Committee (BMPC) scheduled on Tuesday, the senior leaders of BJP and Congress huddled on Monday to discuss the nominations for the committee.

As many as 18 councillors from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagra Palike (BBMP) are part of the planning committee. The leaders are hoping to ensure that the elections are held unopposed. City in-charge Minister R. Ramalinga Reddy, former Deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok, MLA S.R. Vishwanath, former MLA N.L. Narendra Babu will attend the meeting.
