The Bengaluru police have arrested the driver and his associate of the tempo traveller in which a 22-year-old BPO employee was gang-raped on Saturday. Three special teams were formed to track down the accused.

The police had questioned over 40 tempo drivers and cab owners based on the data from the Indira Nagar RTO. The police also roped in artists to draw the portraits of the accused based on the physical description given by the victim and distributed them across city stations seeking help to identify the accused.

According to sources, the city police have arrested Sunil (23) and Yogesh (27), and seized the tempo traveller.

The city police will recommend that the Labour Department initiate action against the company of the victim for violating safety guidelines.
