June 04, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 16, 2016 10:24 am IST - BENGALURU:

You will soon have another app to draw the attention of authorities to civic problems.

The app, eyeOrta – Smart City, Namma Bengaluru – will soon be made available on app stores. “The app has been customised according to the city’s needs and is supposed to be a step towards making Bengaluru a smart city,” said Mayor Manjunath Reddy. Users can pull up a map of their neighbourhood and access data for any specific area at any given time. Citizens will be able get across messages about civic-related issues or even crimes to the BBMP and police. The civic body already has a slew of apps. BBMP Sahaya, for example, is an interface to report grievances to more than 20 departments.
