The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has removed the mound of garbage accumulated at the junction of Harris Road and Bore Bank Road in Benson Town following a report appearing in The Hindu under the headline “No man’s land turns into a garbage dump”, on Thursday.

Joint Commissioner (East) visited the spot and instructed officials to remove the gigantic garbage heap. A BBMP press release said the garbage was removed accordingly. It added that the contractor has been told to clear garbage regularly.
