Banking to return to normal

Banking services in public sector banks and some private banks that were hit for the last two days due to the two-day all India strike by officers and employees are expected to return to normal from Wednesday onwards.

Seeking wage revision and opposing banking sector reforms, about 20,000 employees from public sector banks, old generation private sector banks, regional rural banks (RRBs) and some co-operative sector banks in Karnataka struck work on Monday and Tuesday as part of the nation-wide strike.
