Bangalore auto driver wins with honesty

An autorickshaw driver who returned two laptops to passengers who left it behind in his vehicle was today honoured for his act on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

The driver Manjunatha had tracked down the owners of the laptops based on information in their visiting cards on the laptop bag, and had returned the devices worth over Rs one lakh, police said.

The ‘Inspired Indian Foundation’, which celebrates ‘unsung heroes’, presented Rs 1,000 to Manjunath besides a certificate appreciating his honesty. He was also presented a kit containing gifts.
