Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Jindal Nature Cure Institute, will be discharged on Monday.

Mr. Kejriwal is suffering from high blood sugar and chronic cough.

According to Babina Nandakumar, chief medical officer at the institute, he underwent traditional nature cure treatments comprising hydrotherapy, massages, packs, mud therapy, combined with yoga and a healthy diet. He was admitted in the institute on February 2 and has to a large extent “detoxified” and his entire system is rejuvenated, she said. She added that his blood sugar level, which was over 300 mg/dl, had come down to 90 mg/dl (fasting) and 130 mg/dl (post prandial). His medication has been reduced to only 30 per cent and he has been advised follow-up, she added.

Dr. Nandakumar said that his high sugar levels and chronic cough was due to a stressful lifestyle that included high consumption of aerated drinks, irregular eating habits, high levels of pollution leading to accumulation of toxins in his body.
