The victim Raghuveer Ram was walking towards the bus stop with a cash bag containing Rs. 3 lakh, when a group of three men on a two-wheeler intercepted him. They threw chilli powder on his face, snatched the bag and sped away.

The victim managed to recover and alerted passers-by, who informed the police.

The RMC Yard police rushed to the spot and conducted investigations. Police suspect that someone known to the victim may have robbed him.
