Anupama’s resignation: CM justifies govt. decision

Justifying the government’s decision to accept the resignation of the former Dy.SP Anupama Shenoy, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, “There is no question of reviewing her resignation, as she has no intention to serve the Police Department.”

Though she complained about liquor mafia and pressure from the then Minister, never did she bring the issue to the notice of her seniors, he said, and added that efforts of senior officers in the department to persuade her to withdraw her resignation failed as she was firm on her stand. The government accepted her resignation four days after she handed over her letter, he said.
