Another case of rape has been filed against Madhukar G. Angur, founder-chancellor of Alliance University, who has been earlier arrested on the charge of raping his niece. The victim, a 50-year-old marketing executive in a prestigious hotel in the city, filed the complaint last Friday.
The victim lodged the complaint against Angur at the J.P. Nagar police station on Friday, police sources said.
The victim, in her complaint, has said that she met Angur on a matrimonial website and was allegedly raped by him thrice: in 2005 at BTM layout, the second time in Chandigarh. The third time, the victim said, she was allegedly raped on February 3, 2016, in the city hotel where she works.
The police said that the first case of rape against Angur was filed on February 4 in Madiwala police station, after which he was released on bail on March 3. This complaint was lodged by his niece who worked in the same university. The victim has also stated in her complaint that she was cheated by Angur, who assured her that he would marry her and even employed her in his university. She later quit to work in a hotel.
