Putting to an end the rumours that actor turned Minister M.H. Ambareesh’s health was deteriorating, his wife Sumalatha Ambareesh on Sunday urged his fans and well-wishers not to heed to any such rumours and said that he was responding to treatment.
“We hope you understand what we are going through. We request some privacy. Nothing will happen to him and he would recover soon,” she told presspersons here on Sunday.
Minister for Housing Mr Ambareesh was admitted to a private hospital in the city after he complained of breathlessness on Friday night.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, K. S. Satish, Pulmonologist who is treating him said, “His overall condition is stable and all his vital organs are fine.”
He said that Mr Ambareesh was responding well to treatment and the doctors were treating him for lung infection. Dr Satish said that Mr Ambareesh was, however, on ventilator support and on sedatives as a result of which he could not speak. “Based on his health condition, we will take a decision on Monday on whether we should take him off ventilator support and sedatives,” he added.
S.B. Vikram Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Group of Hospitals said that a team of 10 doctors comprising of cardiologist, nephrologists and intensive care unit specialists were attending to him around the clock.
Meanwhile, his fans from Mandya and Maddur, who were camping outside the hospital since Friday, night heaved a sigh of relief after Ms. Sumalatha’s assurance that Mr Ambareesh was recovering. C Devaraj, member of the Akila Karnataka Ambareesh Abimanigala Sangha that his fans conducted rituals to pray for the speedy recovery of the actor.
