ACB raids in Karnataka

Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday simultaneous searched the premises of 12 government officials in various departments in eight districts across the State. Searches were conducted in Bengaluru, Nelamangala, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Ballari, Hassan, Raichur and Vijayapura.

Of the 12 officers, four are from Bengaluru: two chief engineers of the BBMP, a chief engineer of BESCOM and a deputy director in the Town Planning Department of the BDA.

ACB officials said that the raids had not concluded and details of disproportionate assets unearthed were being audited.
