The Hanumanthnagar police arrested a mother of two who allegedly plotted with her boyfriend to have her husband murdered for a Rs. 3 lakh supari.

The police arrested S. Mangala (25) from Srinagar, her boyfriend Kiran Kumar (21), Anil Kumar (21), Deepu (27), Nagesh (22), all from J.P. Nagar, and Keshav Kumar (27) from Banashankari.

On the morning of November 19, Mangala’s husband Kumar (36), a resident of Kavikeshiraja Road in Srinagar, was returning on his two-wheeler from J.S.S. School when he had dropped his children when four men in a car waylaid him in front of Royal Tailors in Srinagar.

The gang hacked him to death and fled and a case was registered with the Hanumanthnagar police, who formed three teams to trace the murderers.

Investigations revealed that Kumar’s wife Mangala and Kiran, a final year engineering student, were having an affair for over a year. When Kumar found out about it, he asked his wife to stop it, following with Mangala and Kiran hatched a plan to kill the husband with the help of Kiran’s friends. Mangala promised them a supari of Rs. 3 lakh, paying an advance of Rs. 60,000.
