Bengaluru: A member of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights was pulled up for posting photographs of a playschool, where a three-year-old child was sexually assaulted, on his social media account.

Commission Member Mariswamy uploaded the photos on his social media account, but retracted it later. The POCSO Act prohibits revealing details that can help to identify a minor, including the name, address, photograph, family details, school or neighbourhood.

The Commission said that he has been warned. He is also likely to be issued a notice.
