350 more seats in Karnataka medical colleges

Bengaluru: Karnataka may be adding 350 seats in government medical colleges in the coming year.

Medical Director Sachidananda said that government medical colleges in Mandya, Hassan, Belagavi, Raichur, Bidar and Shivamogga could each get 50 additional seats.

“The department has applied for clearance from the Medical Council of India (MCI),” says Mr. Sachidanda.

The intake of Hubballi government medical college will increase from 150 to 200.
