The officials of District Administration on Wednesday raided Bingipura and Hullahalli village and recovered 14.5 acres of government grazing land which has been encroached upon by a private builder to form residential layouts.

Anekal taluk Tahsildar, Anil Kumar said that the accused have formed over 300 sites and sold it to gullible people for throwaway prices ranging from Rs. 5-8lakhs.

The builder developed the layout with good roads, drainage and street lights with footpath and parks to lure the prospective clients. Software professionals along with a few government servants were duped by the builder with forged land records, Mr. Kumar said.

The officials have demolished the layouts and recovered the land contemplating filing a criminal case against the builder.
