A 23-year-old youth P. Kishore received minor injuries when he was allegedly stabbed by an unidentified person near Sivajipalem here on Tuesday.
The youth had gone to see Janmashtami celebrations, when he was allegely stabbed from behind with a sharp-edged weapon. The youth has been admitted to a hospital. MVP police are investigating the case.
Liquor seized
The Fourth Town Police seized about 200 bottles of liquor from a wine shop at Narasimha Nagar. Being Independence Day, the sale of liquor is banned and the wine shop was selling liquor illegally.
