Workshop on film making to be held on October 16

A one-day workshop on short film making will be held for prospective short film makers here on October 16.

Announcing this at a media conference on Monday, Vizag Film Society (VFS) president K. Bharata Lakshmi and Veeru Mama of 92.7 Big FM said that the objective of the workshop was to teach the basics of film making to aspiring short film makers.

Classes in screenplay, shot division, acting, visual effects, dubbing and re-recording would be conducted as part of the daylong workshop.

Assistant Director Lakshmi Soujanya of ‘Anaganaga oka Dheerudu' and ‘Wanted' films would take a class on ‘direction', Cameraman of Suresh Productions Palakollu Sreenu would deliver a guest lecture on cinematography and still photographer of Red magazine K. Ashutosh would talk on photography, Music director and Principal of St. Luke's College of Music and Audio Ashirvad Luke and director of Matamorphsys K. Chakravarthi would deliver lectures on music and visual effects respectively.

Short film makers Ramakrishna Aravind and Sushant, who are conducting the workshop in association with VFS, said that the programme was meant for those who were interested in film making. They said that online assistance would be given to the participants for six months besides books on the subject and a DVD. VFS Joint secretary MGV Prasad said that pre and post-production techniques would be taught at the workshop. Details can be had by calling 99668 50415 or 98660 68871.
