A water kiosk set up at Sea Horse Junction and Convent Junction by the Visakhapatnam Port Trust was inaugurated by Visakha South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar.
The MLA launched the programme by distributing butter milk packets and water to the public due to rise in temperatures in the city.
The port also held a meeting to create awareness on precautions to be taken to avoid sun stroke and other problems caused during summer season. Port Deputy Chairman P.L. Haranadh and other senior officials were present.
