Visakhapatnam is best suited for establishment of High Court of residual Andhra Pradesh, president of Visakhapatnam Bar Association N.V. Badarinath said on Saturday.

With its huge potential and infrastructure, the city has all the qualifications for having the High Court and it being in a corner of the State was not a hindrance for Visakhapatnam, Mr. Badarinath said while addressing a meeting organised by the Forum of Legal Professionals on the need to have the High Court established in Visakhapatnam.

President of the forum Kuppili Muralidhar said lot of pressure must be brought on the Government to have the High Court here and a committee would be formed to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister.

Former Public Prosecutor S.S.N. Raju said that High Court here would see delivery of speedy justice and justice at the door step. Member of the Juvenile Justice Board Abdul Raquib, representatives of Mahila Action and others spoke in support of establishment of High Court in Visakhapatnam.
