The draft master plan of Visakhapatnam- Kakinada Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Invest Region (VK- PCPIR) will be notified on Monday.
According to Vice-Chairman of VUDA and PCPIR Special Development Authority N. Yuvaraj, 90 days time has been given for filing objections and suggestions by the people of the region and local bodies.
Dr. Yuvaraj has decided to release the draft plan along with all-important details of land use pattern to make the exercise transparent and responsive. The land use pattern details will be made available at all the 97 villages of 10 mandals falling in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts in the PCPIR area.
The Vice-Chairman has made it clear that lands already acquired for the purpose of Special Economic Zones existing in the limits of the PCPIR would alone be utilised and no more acquisition would be done.
The PCPIR, proposed as the largest in the country and coming up in 640 sq km, comprises 55 fishermen villages, which the plan says, will not be shifted or disturbed.
A separate package has been incorporated for the welfare of the fisherfolk with an estimated Rs.300 crore for the next five years.
Even for the road network, including the 137 km Expressway proposed in the PCPIR, alignment would be done by not disturbing any habitation, says a statement.
Dr. Yuvaraj conducted a meeting with the District Panchayat Officers, Joint Director of Fisheries, tehsildars, MPDOs, general managers of District Industries Centres of Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts on Sunday to provide orientation to them to effectively deal with public of the PCPIR area.
The draft master plan, along with details of the land use pattern, will be displayed on the third floor of VUDA office at Siripuram from Monday and will be placed on VUDA website www.vuda.gov.in.
