TDP will go ahead with its ‘Maha Sankalpam’ on June 24 to expose opposition YSRC, party urban president and MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar said here on Tuesday.

Criticising the Maha Dharna of the Opposition, he said while the government appointed SIT to probe into land scandals and tampering of records was brought to light by Collector Pravin Kumar.

R&B Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, who was present, said ’Maha Sankalpam’ was not a protest but a programme to create awareness among people on the SIT probe.

Mr. Ganesh Kumar deplored the comments of YSRC general secretary and MP V. Vijayasai Reddy about the city in the light of land scandals and recalled that the latter was hand in glove with YSRC president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in corruption and the main accused in several cases.

Lambasting the record of Congress, he said a survey found that Andhra Pradesh was first in tampering of revenue records between 2004 and 2009.

Land was being allotted to companies for providing employment and between 1994 and 2004 TDP government allotted 667 acres to 38 companies getting employment to 1.13 lakh people.

During its 10-year rule, Congress government allotted 14000 acres to 59 companies with employment to mere 8248 people and it was a part of quid pro quo, he alleged.

On the other hand allotment to various IT companies was found fault by CAG in its report, he said.
